Toronto's Molar Radio #12: Kirk, the hostage of terrrorists — an interview.
The first time someone told me about Kirk, I had to fight to suppress laughter: A guy who’s free to walk the streets, but thinks he’s being held hostage? He must be putting on some goofy act. When I bumped into him myself, I instantly knew who he was, tipped off by his opening line of “Hostage of terrorists, spare any change?”
Then I talked to him, hung out with him a few times. It’s not some silly panhandling shtick — he’s dead serious about this. Fairly calm, friendly, for the most part lucid, Kirk wholly believes in his version of reality. I find him fascinating. How about you?
